Matthieu Jorrot is a French native born in Paris and raised in Stuttgart, Germany. After studying in Paris, Matthieu launched his career as a photographer and assistant director of commercials and music videos and made the move to Prague to focus on directing within a new environment, expanding the scope and variety of his creative output.
In 2008, Matthieu returned to his French roots, working with the renowned production houses of Quad, Première Heure, Hamster Pub and Prodigious to direct digital campaigns for prestigious brands such as Contrex, Samsung, Danone, T-Mobile etc, as well as delivering cutting-edge image campaigns for international brands such as Renault, Adidas, GE Money Bank, Gillette, Pepsi and Nescafé, to name few.
Then, Matthieu has branched out to directing internationally, working in London, Berlin, New York, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Beirut, Kiev, and Abidjan with the finest international brand agencies, and directing music videos including Charlie Winston’s Truth Remix music video.
Parallel to his advertising work, Matthieu is working on a feature film project, The Puritans, and has directed and produced short films with his non-profit association ‘Cadrage Recadrage’.
Matthieu, speaking French, English, German, Italian, and some Czech, is a truly multicultural talent, obsessed with the true emotions of his characters.
